“AI for Everyone" is a humble attempt made by authors to introduce the basic concepts of artificial intelligence or AI in a simple but comprehensive way. The book starts with a quick anecdote of the evolution of AI, which is followed by presenting the industry use cases across diverse domains. It also discusses the different technology areas under the gamut of AI, the ethical concerns related to AI and how they should be addressed, and research opportunities related to AI. It ends with a discussion of the emerging trends and future directions in AI.

The authors, being veteran professionals in the areas of academics and industry, have tried to bring in comprehensively all the required elements of knowledge - both in the areas of academic and industry practitioner.

Dr. Saptarsi Goswami is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department - Computer Science, Bangabasi Morning College affiliated to University of Calcutta. He has a total of 22 years of experience - 11 years in academics and 11 years in IT Industry in companies like PwC, Cognizant and Tata Infotech. He has done his B.Tech. from NIT, Jaipur and his M.Tech. and PhD from University of Calcutta. He is a visiting faculty and research supervisor in A.K. Choudhury School of IT University of Calcutta and has been a founding member of the Data Science Lab, University of Calcutta.

Saptarsi has more than 75 publications in reputed international journals and conferences with an H-Index of 19. He is deeply involved in many community initiatives in Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. His YouTube lectures on AI and Machine Learning are part of National Digital Library, India and was acjudged Person of the Week by NDL in July 2020. He is an executive member of Society for Data Science (S4DS). He regularly speaks at different industry and academic forums and writes at towards datascience. He has supported Higher Education Department, Govt. of WB for various IT Projects, as well as capacity building initiatives in an advisory role.
